Announcement: Biometric Visa and Passports
Starting January 2012, the Belgian Embassy in Manila issues biometric visas and passports. The new procedure requires the physical presence of the applicant while lodging his/her visa or passport application.
For visa applicants, the biometric data consists of a digital photograph, as well as 10 digital fingerprints.
For Belgian Nationals wishing to renew their passport, a photograph will be taken in the Embassy, together with the prints of their two index fingers. Furthermore, passport applicants are invited to put a sample of their signature on a digital write pad.
