Short term:
· Before you file your application, be sure that your application is complete. An incomplete file has often had a refusal of the visa as a result.
· The Philippines are on the list of countries requiring a mandatory security check with the Schengen member states. No visas can be issued before the result of this security check is received. Therefore COMPLETE applications must be lodged AT LEAST 1 month before the planned departure date.
The Embassy can not give any precisions on the time taken to process an application transferred for decision to the Immigration Service in Brussels.
Long term / family / in view of marriage / cohabitation:
· Before you file your application, be sure that your application is complete. An incomplete file has often had a refusal of the visa for a result.
· Additional documents may be submitted during the period indicated during the interview at the embassy. After the expiry of that period the incomplete application will be transferred for decision to the Interior Ministry in Brussels.
· The processing time of the application by the Embassy averages 6 weeks.
The Embassy can not give any precisions on the time taken to process an application transferred for decision to the Immigration Service in Brussels.
