The Embassy of Belgium has been located in the Kojimachi area since 1902 and at its location in Nibancho since 1928. The reconstruction project started in November 2007 and came to completion in November 2009. The new Embassy building is located on “Belgium Square”, a plaza paved in Belgian blue stone.
Together with the full staff of the Embassy I am already looking forward to welcoming you personally at our new Embassy. If we can be of any further assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact or to visit us. We will be happy to receive and to help you with your queries.
Our Embassy website is regularly updated and we are happy to read your comments and suggestions in this regard. Please send us your email address if you wish to be personally informed when this site is updated.
For your convenience we included practical and concrete information on this website concerning various administrative matters, such as registration, passport and visa applications, procedures of the civil state, social security, driving licenses, scholarships, etc. Furthermore this website offers you some information on Belgium as well as newsflashes and many useful links.
For many decades now Japan and Belgium have shared a warm relationship. It is a great pleasure for my staff and me to cherish this relationship further into the future and to entrench our reciprocal friendship and mutual respect for generations to come.
