Important notice

Machine readable visas (which are in all cases the type issued by this consulate) are never to be applied on the reverse side of a passport page already containing another machine readable visa (regardless of the country of issuance & the validity of that visa). Therefore, it is advisable that your passport contains at least one double blank page reserved for visas (blank front and back). Be informed that your visa will not be affixed if your passport doesn't comply with these new criteria, in which case you will be requested to submit a new passport.

Een machineleesbaar visum (het type dat in alle gevallen door deze post wordt afgegeven) mag nooit op de keerzijde van een pagina worden geplakt die reeds een ander machineleesbaar visum bevat (ongeacht het land van afgifte en de geldigheid ervan). Het is daarom aangeraden dat uw paspoort minstens één dubbele blanco pagina bevat onder de bladzijden bestemd voor visa (blanco voor- & keerzijde). Uw visum zal niet worden aangebracht indien uw paspoort niet aan deze nieuwe criteria voldoet. U zal dan verzocht worden om een nieuw paspoort voor te leggen.

Avis important concernant visas à lecture optique & passeports

Aucun visa à lecture optique (visa délivré par ce poste) ne peut être apposé au verso d'une page sur laquelle un autre visa à lecture optique a déjà été placé (indépendamment de la validité et du pays émetteur). C’est pourquoi il est conseillé que votre passeport contienne au moins une double page vierge parmi les pages destinées aux visas (vierge recto-verso). Sachez que votre visa ne sera pas apposé au cas où votre passeport ne répond pas à ces nouveaux critères. Il vous sera alors demandé de présenter un nouveau passeport.

The following is only a guideline for minimum requirements. Additional documentation may be requested.

Applications will only be accepted upon submission of all the required documents, and the exact fee.
Visa applications have to be submitted a minimum of 3 weeks before departure.
The applicant must submit personally completed application forms plus all necessary documents.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR SCHENGEN VISA

Airport transit visa:

1.Original and copy of national passport with UAE residence permit, both valid at least three months longer than the intended stay.
2.One Application form typewritten or written clearly, duly completed and signed.
3.One recent photograph passport size(see details in the back).
4.Return flight ticket non refundable non transferable.
A booking will do when initiating the application.
5.Final destination visa.

Tourism visa:

1.Original and copy of national passport with UAE residence permit, both valid at least three months longer than the intended stay.
2.One application form typewritten or written clearly, duly completed and signed.
3.One recent photograph passport size(see details in the back).
4.Letter from employer and /or sponsor stating designation, date of employment, salary, period of stay, purpose of visit, financial arrangement.
5. Copy of previous Schengen visa(s) if applicable 
6.Original Company trade license and one copy (if applicant is the owner or the partner).
7.Return flight ticket non refundable non transferable.
A booking will do when initiating the application.
8.Bank statements for the last three months.
9.Hotel and/or tour reservation for the whole duration of stay.
10.Travel medical insurance for the whole period of stay.

Visa for Nannies

1. Original and copy of national passport with UAE residence permit, both valid at least three months longer than the intended stay.

2. One application form typewritten or written clearly, duly completed and signed.

3. One recent photograph passport size.

4. Letter from employer, period of stay, purpose of visit + approval for sponsoring the nanny's trip.

5. Copy of contract with salary and date of employment (minimum one year prior to the application date).

6. Return flight ticket (a booking will do when initiating the application).

7. Employer's bank statements for the last three months.

8. Hotel or tour reservation or address of stay for the whole duration of stay.

9. Travel medical insurance for the whole period of stay.

Family visit

1.Original and copy of national passport with UAE residence permit, both valid at least three months longer than the intended stay.
2.One application form typewritten or written clearly, duly completed and signed.
3.One recent photograph passport size(see details in the back).
4.Letter from employer and /or sponsor stating designation, date of employment, salary, period of stay, purpose of visit, financial arrangement.
5. Copy of previous Schengen visa(s) if applicable
6.Original Company trade license and one copy (if applicant is the owner or the partner).
7.Return flight ticket non refundable non transferable.

8.Bank statements for the last three months.
9.Invitation signed by the host and legalized by the city hall in Belgium.
10.Copy of host’s identity card or passport.
11.Host’s salary certificate fore the last three month.
12. Proof of family link (BIRTH CERTIFICATE)
13.Travel medical insurance for the whole period of stay.

Business visa:

1.Original and copy of national passport with UAE residence permit, both valid at least three months longer than the intended stay.
2.One application form typewritten or written clearly, duly completed and signed.
3.One recent photograph passport size(see details in the back).
4.Letter from employer and /or sponsor stating designation, date of employment, salary, period of stay, purpose of visit, financial arrangement.
5. Copy of previous Schengen visa(s) if applicable
6.Company trade license (if applicant is the owner or the partner);original and one copy.
7.Return flight ticket non refundable non transferable.

8.Invitation letter sent by business partner in Schengen state, mentioning duration, purpose and financial arrangement of stay.
9.Travel medical insurance for the whole period of stay.
10.Hotel reservation for the whole duration of stay.

Remarks:

1.There is no legal right to a visa.
2.The possession of a valid visa does not automatically entitle its bearer to enter the Schengen territory. Immigration authorities could also request that additional probatory documents (ie.hotel reservation, air ticket, sufficient funds, invitation letter, etc.) be produced.
3.The purpose of the proposed visit may not be altered once the visa has been issued (after entering Schengen territory).

Photo requirements:

Photographs should be portrait-style and the applicant should not, as a rule, be wearing any headgear. Headgear may be permitted for religious or medical reasons provided that the faceis completely visible. The fore head, cheeks, eyes, nose and chin should not be obstructed in any way. Preferably, but not necessarily, the hair and ears should also be exposed. on the photograph, the head should occupy a minimum area of 2.5cm and maximum 3.5cm. The background should be light and uniform. The first name and surname of the applicant should be written clearly on the back of the photograph. Photographs must be in colour: black-and-white photographs are no longer accepted.
