On 19 June 2011, H.M. the King of The Belgians, Albert II, decided to grant the “Grand Cross in the Order of Leopold II” to H.E. Murat Ersavcı, upon the completion of his tour of duty as bilateral Ambassador of Turkey to Belgium.

The high distinction was bestowed on H.E. Ambassador Ersavcı by H.E. Pol De Witte, Ambassador of Belgium in Ankara, on behalf of H.M. King Albert II. Around hundred Turkish and foreign invitees assisted at the ceremony and the subsequent buffet-dinner at the residence of the Belgian Ambassador in Ankara.
