Asem Youth Games – Belgian delegation homebound with 9 medals

On the 2nd of June the 1st Asem Youth Games in Bangkok started. Among the participants was a small delegation of 14 young Belgian sportsmen and sportswomen. A week later, the 10 athletes and 4 table-tennis players returned home, with no less than 9 medals : 2 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 3 bronze medals. During the athletics event the young Belgians claimed 8 medals, and the last medal went to the table-tennis players who more than held their ground during an event that traditionally is dominated by Asian countries...
