In some cases, Belgian embassies and consulates must submit visa applications to the Immigration Service at Federal Public Service Home Affairs for its decision. This is the only body authorized to decide on matters concerning the entry of foreign nationals into Belgium, their temporary or permanent residence and their removal from the country.
When the file is submitted, the applicant gets a receipt with a unique number.
With this number you can contact the immigration service to know the status of your file.
