Schengen Visa
General information

A Schengen visa is a short term visa that allows you to enter Belgium and the Schengen area for up to 90 days.

 

A visa issued by a Schengen country allows you to travel to Belgium and the following 25 countries:

Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxemburg, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.  Since December 21st 2007: Estonia, Czech Republic, Hungary, LatviaLithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.  Switzerland as well as Liechtenstein have joined the Schengen area.

 

Depending on your citizenship, the duration and purpose of your stay in Belgium, a visa may be required before departure.

 

The following rules apply to the different Hong Kong and Macau travel documents and PRC passports:

HKSAR passports

for a stay up to 90 days: no visa required

Macau SAR passports

for a stay up to 90 days: no visa required

British National Overseas passports (BNO)

for a stay up to 90 days: no visa required

Hong Kong Documents of Identity for visa purposes (DI)

Schengen visa is required

Macao Travel Permits

Schengen visa is required

People's Republic of China passport (PRC)

Schengen visa is required
