On 19 May 2011, the ambassador of Belgium in the Ukraine, Mrs Jana Zikmundova, has brought a courtesy visit to the mayor of Kyiv, Mr Olexandr Popov. During their exchange, they discussed the main lines of the “Kyiv 2025” development plan, as well as the interest of Belgian firms for several projects concerning public lighting and soil cleansing at former industrial sites. Mr Popov and Mrs Zikmundova expressed wishes of a deepened future cooperation and exchanged art books devoted to historic buildings of Belgium and the city of Kyiv.
