    Travelling to the US - new rules
    The US Visa Waiver Program allows Belgian citizens to travel to the US for short journeys of 90 days maximum without having to obtain visa. The US are now introducing a new Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).

    From August 1st 2008, travellers to the US can apply on a voluntary basis, via the Internet, for ESTA-authorisation. From 12 januari 2009 all travellers from Visa Waiver countries will be required to obtain this authorisation before travelling to the US.
