Announcement: Changes in the Code of Belgian nationality

From 01/01/2013 on, it is no longer possible to apply for Belgian citizenship at the Belgian Embassy based on the following grounds: marriage, recovery of lost citizenship, naturalization etc. Declarations of attribution of nationality to one’s child, forsaking and conservation of the Belgian nationality are still possible.

Announcement: Biometric Visa and Passports

Starting January 2012, the Belgian Embassy in Manila issues biometric visas and passports. The new procedure requires the physical presence of the applicant while lodging his/her visa or passport application.

Belgian Nationals wishing to renew their passport are requested to bring a photograph. The prints of their two index fingers will be taken in the Embassy. Furthermore, passport applicants are invited to put a sample of their signature on a digital write pad.

Visa Applications

Appointments for visa have to be made through the service centre. No appointments will be accepted if requested through other channels than the Service Center (! can only be reached from within the Philippines)

Appointments for lodging visa applications:

Tip: If you wish to secure an appointment without listening to the recording of the visa requirements, as soon as you have the connection, press 1 for English or 2 for Tagalog and then press 0, you will immediately be redirected to the operator.

NOTICE : Kindly provide documentation as follows:

► for short stay visa application (Schengen visa) : 1 original copy of all documents + 1 complete set of photocopies

► for long stay visa application, fiancée visa and cohabitation: 1 original copy of all documents + 2 complete sets of photocopies
