It is a pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in the Czech Republic.
Based on a centuries-old friendship between our two countries, the Kingdom of Belgium was among the first states to establish diplomatic relations with the new Czechoslovakia in 1919. After the Velvet Revolution our bilateral relations were set on a new footing and have blossomed ever since.
Belgium has become the 8th trading partner of the Czech Republic and one of the more important investors in this country. Every year more and more Czech visitors find their
way to Belgium and discover its diversity and multiculturalism, its historic cities and the headquarters of leading European institutions.
