The Consulate General of Belgium in St. Petersburg has been established in May 2008.
The Consulate General represents Belgium in the North-West Region of the Russian Federation. This area consists of: the city of St. Petersburg, the Republics of Karelia and Komi and the oblasts: Archangelsk, Kaliningrad, Leningrad, Murmansk, Novgorod, Pskov and Vologda.
The priority areas of the Consulate General include protection of rights and interests of the Belgian nationals, development of economic, commercial and cultural relations between Belgium and North-west of Russia, projects on Belgium image promotion, work of Economic and Trade Representation of Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia.
